Looking at the information in more detail, we can see that in terms of football, the proportion of male spectators(69%) was more than three times as large as the figure for male participants. A similar gap between these two groups of people could be found in rugby and horse riding and racing, where the figures for male viewers ranked the second(45%) and third place (30%) respectively.

In the other three types of sports, there were more players. Tennis was chosen by roughly 10% of the participants, roughly 5 times the figure for spectators. However, the two types of people shared a similar figure in basketball, with approximately 20%.
